Cusco has become a fashionable and spirited traveller’s destination and abounds with opportunity for exploring the city’s colonial and Inca history. Just beyond the city’s fascinating historic core are numerous archaeological sites that summon the outdoor enthusiast. The rural Andean countryside on the outskirt of Cusco is jam-packed with Archaeological sites.
With a highly trained guide we travel by horseback through dense forests of eucalyptus trees, pass through charming rural communities and behold spectacular views of the Andean mountain range.
We visit the most important landmarks of the Incas’ characteristic ruins, showcasing their mastery of stonemasonry and their incredible engineering accomplishments whilst our guide delves into their enduring legacy and the mystery surrounding this ancient culture.
We begin with an exploration of Sacsayhuaman and the colossal remains of this famous religious centre that stands like a giant sentinel on a hill above Cusco. Then the Temple of the Moon, considered to emit some of the most powerful energies known in the region and believed to be a site of great spiritual awakening and healing.
Then it’s off to the other three intriguing Inca ruins: Q’enko, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. By the end of the day you will have come full circle and leave with a sense of the interconnectedness of these sites, the Incas’ and their remarkable achievements.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Cabalgata en Saqsayhuaman

Leave at 9:00 am
Arrive approximately 9:30 am. at the ranch near Saqsayhuaman where our horses await.
We leave shortly after on our tour.
Return to Cusco approximately 4: 30 pm.
